Development of Methodic Recommendations for Value Driven Project Management for Information Technologies Companies

This paper is dedicated to value-driven management in information technologies industry. The first part of the paper is a theoretical survey. This survey investigates such points as meaning of term «project value», factors of success and failure of IT-projects. Relation between terms «value of project» and «project success» is denoted. The second part of the paper contains analysis of features of IT-project management process. Also, there are results of interview of IT-companies’ employee. The point of interview was to investigate value management processes for IT-projects and identify ingredients of value of IT-projects. The third part contains methodic recommendations for value-driven IT project management. Recommendations consist of two part. The first part is a model of process of management IT-project value. The second part is a model of quantitative estimation of IT-project value. Developed recommendations are destined for use in IT-companies.
