In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic showed us how outdated the work organization model is in the most companies and project teams. The abrupt transition to remote work revealed a number of problems in the organizational processes of project activities. Some project teams weren’t ready for the new working conditions and suffered losses. The final qualification work is aimed at identifying the main problems that arose in the business processes of projects during the transition to remote working format, identifying the best practices for addressing existing challenges, as well as developing recommendations for the effective transfer of a project to a completely remote working format and partially remote (hybrid) format of work. Methods of collecting, analyzing and presenting data were used in the work: survey, interviewing, comparative analysis, hierarchical structure of works. Based on the data obtained, we propose an algorithm for the transition of project activities to a full or partially remote working format. In addition, we have formulated a list of modern IT services that will help you effectively manage the project's business processes in a remote format. These recommendations will allow project teams to take the next level at the new remote working format without losing efficiency. In the future, the remote working format can help to enter new markets, reduce costs, and hire qualified specialists from all over the world.
