The research focuses on evaluating the impact that Airbnb's entry has had on the hotel industry in Moscow from 2012 to June 2019, concentrating on the competition that the new form of business marked in the market. As a hypothesis, it is believed that, following the strong arrival of this new company, Airbnb had a negative effect on the hotel occupancy rate. This would mean that hotel revenues have been affected as Airbnb's expansion in the market has reduced the number of guests in hotels. The data is confirmed by regression parameters. In the framework of the use of the concept of the Creative Destruction hypothesis of this study is confirmed: Airbnb had a negative effect on the hotel occupancy rate The in Moscow.
