Now the International Olympic Committee has seriously raised the question of the possible exclusion of rule 50 of the Olympic Charter, which prohibits any political, religious and racial demonstrations in the Olympic zones. It will lead to the legalization of the influence of politics on sports. The Olympic Games, which are created to unite countries and peoples from all over the world, will turn into a field for political action. History remembers the results of the open interference of the political agenda in sports, but in each country the emphasis presents on local stories. Therefore, many people do not know how often different states used the most popular and loud political instrument - protest. In our multimedia longread we described all the cases of political protests in the second half of the 20th century and talked with eyewitnesses of the Olympic boycotts. We have demonstrated on the facts that political protests at the Olympic Games have no winners and the political agenda has no place in big sport. Research methods: linguistic and discourse analysis of publications, study of laws and official documents, collection of interviews. In our multimedia longread we set out in order the cases of political protests at the Olympic Games from the period we have chosen (the second half of the 20th century) and analyzed it. At the same time, we took out the story about the games of 1980 and 1984 in a separate large block, since these games had the most massive boycotts in history. Our project is intended to draw the attention of readers to the harmful phenomenon of political protests at the Olympic Games and to warn against the legalization of political actions in sports. Longread is available at: http://protestnaolympe.tilda.ws/
