Educational Programme: International Relations (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The USA and the 27 members of the European Union nowadays are one of the most important actors of international relations and they certainly are the most influential countries in the Western hemisphere. Security issues play a central role in the bilateral EU-US relationship, and therefore, their quality heavily depends on this aspect of cooperation. Consequently, it is crucial to trace the main tendencies in the development of the interaction of these countries in the sphere of security, including the most recent events. For this purpose, such methods as source analysis and comparison will be used in the given work. The research shows that despite Donald Trump’s nationalist and protectionist policy, the bilateral bond has not been permanently weakened and that there are more profound foundations for the relationship. This work is highly relevant to those who are interested in European studies or those who specialize in security issues.
