Inertnational Counter-Terrorism Cooperation of the European Union

In this article, the development of international counter-terrorism cooperation of the European Union is observed. The author tries to determine the relation between national and supranational in the EU decision-making in this area and to determine the main actors which affect the development. The concept of a joint decision trap by F. Scharpf is frequently used in this piece. As the result of qualitative analysis and quantitative comparison, the findings about the EU members and EU institutions role in this cooperation are given. Based on these results, the author also tries to determine the main factors that are to influence the international counter-terrorism cooperation of the EU in the years to come.
