Comics Anthology About HSE: Concept Development and Editing Aspect (Creative Format)

The current graduate thesis is presented in the creative format and is devoted to the production of a comics anthology about HSE University. Specifically, it observes the editing aspect of the comics production, which includes not only the production supervision, but also the deep analysis of the submitted artworks. The theoretical part of the work describes the development of the Russian comics industry, as well as the editor’s role in the process of the comics production. The project note of the work starts with the final product’s concept description, and proceeds with different aspects of the development of the anthology’s production process, including production model, timeline, project team etc. The creative part of the work consists of the link to the final product, as well as the description of the production process from the editor’s perspective. The work is finalized by the reflections on the production process. The final product for this thesis is presented in a comics anthology which consists of 7 comics stories developed and produced by the HSE students during winter 2020-21 for this thesis specifically.
