Features of Japanese Policy within the Framework of Indo-Pacific Concept

Free and Open Indo-Pacific concept has emerged relatively recently in political discourse, but quickly come into the fore. Over time, various visions of the new region began to emerge. Thus, Japan, the United States, Australia, India, and the ASEAN countries have already presented their visions. This research paper is devoted to the analysis of Japanese foreign policy within the framework of the FOIP concept and its distinctive features. In addition, one of the central issues of the study is the possibility of compromise and integration of FOIP with the China’s Belt and Road Initiative, despite the obvious contradictions in Sino-Japan relations.
