This study examines the competitiveness of the tourism industry in EU countries. A feature of the study is the comparison of competitiveness before the start of the pandemic and after. The thesis gives an understanding of how the competitiveness of this industry is formed, what factors were most affected by the pandemic crisis, and what measures are successfully applied in highly competitive countries.
