Educational Programme: Information Science and Computation Technology (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The object of the development is a camping power generator based on thermoelectric elements, which converts the thermal energy of the campfire into electrical energy. The purpose of the development was to ensure that the device meets the following requirements: reliability, energy efficiency, ease of operation, as well as environmental friendliness; implementation of device control systems: cooling system, battery management system, display system. To achieve the aim of the development, the following tasks were performed: - conducting an analysis of analogs of the device; - selection of materials for thermoelectric elements and housing; - body modeling using the CAD system SolidWorks; - creating the housing by turning and milling work on the workpieces; - selection of components for electrical circuits; - circuit modeling using the Altium Designer CAD system; - printing of circuits on the ProtoMat E34 machine, and subsequent soldering; - study of the architecture of the STM8 and STM32 microcontrollers; - writing algorithms for the operation of device systems; - writing software for microcontrollers responsible for system management, using the development environments Keil µVision and IAR Systems Cube, as well as STM_CubeMX configurators. Result of the development is the successful implementation of the design solutions, the software and hardware of the electric power generator, which allow all the systems of the device to function properly and meet the mentioned requirements. The volume of the final graduation work is 66 pages (without an annex). The paper contains 21 illustrations, 1 table, 30 references, 1 annex.
