Features of Financial Markets Regulation in Southeast Asian Countries

The paper is devoted to a comprehensive study of the regulatory specifics of financial markets in Southeast Asia using the example of the five largest economies in the region (ASEAN-5). The first chapter examines the main theoretical approaches to the definition and classification of models and instruments of financial regulation in order to systematize generally accepted regulatory mechanisms and identify the most applicable methods for the countries of Southeast Asia. The second chapter is devoted to a comparative analysis of the mechanisms of financial regulation in the ASEAN-5 countries. The third chapter of the study summarizes the limits and possibilities of regulation of ASEAN financial markets and provides recommendations for improving further regulatory mechanisms.
