Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The aim of the research was to reflect on the principles of the use of artistic materials in the production of material objects of art. The defining methods in the course of the work were: the use of found object materials or household garbage in opposition to the purchase of materials in stores; analysis of the principles of determining things as exhausted; analysis of the internal materiality of things, defects that tell about the nature of the use of these things, their experience. As a result of the research, it was planned to determine what alternative properties and meanings appear in objects that are used up, destroyed, or have served their original function. In the course of the work, several materials were documented: things that escaped from their environment of residence, traces of destruction, and forgotten or abandoned things. Based on this, similar materials were collected for further processing into the details of the final installation.
