Any modern society has its own characteristics of business etiquette. These features are influenced by both the historical development of a particular country, generally recognized standards of business etiquette, and the cultural characteristics of the people. Previous research has identified the basic principles of business etiquette that most companies rely on when interacting with international organizations or their representatives. This study examines in detail the features of business etiquette in Russia and Spain. For this, a comparative analysis of the basic modern principles of business etiquette, business cultures of these countries, as well as the features of speech etiquette formulas was carried out. Thus, at present, the study of various business cultures is one of the most effective ways of forming intercultural communicative competence, because it is precisely ignorance of the socio-cultural context that quite often leads to misunderstanding and conflict situations between business partners, disruption of professional and business contact. The research results can be useful material for representatives and employees of various international companies who interact with foreign partners from Spain or are interested in intercultural communication. A detailed description of the features of the principles of modern business etiquette, speech formulas used in the process of business communication, will allow you to feel more freely in an intercultural environment, as well as to avoid possible misunderstandings and conflicts. The study confirmed that, despite the existence of generally accepted rules of business etiquette, cultural differences in business communication must be considered, as they reflect the centuries-old history and customs of another country, which any participant in business communication must respect. When interacting with business partners, knowledge of the specifics of business etiquette will be a great advantage.
