The Role of Creative Common Licenses in Modern Intellectual Property Law

The work is devoted to determine the legal role of Creative Commons licenses in intellectual property law. The author analyze the background for the emergence of the CC licenses, gave a legal qualification for the application of all types of licenses, including the tool for public domain dedication - CC0, in Russia and abroad. The analogous mechanisms of distribution of copyrighted content are examined.
