Cybercrime in Online Gaming

The research is primary focused on comprehensive study of cybercrime in the field of online games. Transboundary nature, high level of latency and anonymity of such crimes set as a pre-eminent mission the modernization of legislation and international cooperation against it. The scope of research is to conduct an integrated study of cybercrime in online games: its criminological characteristics, legislation, problems of legal qualification and ways to solve them. For its accomplishment, the following objectives are set: 1) to study the definition of cybercrime; 2) to examine the modern types types and classification; 3) to analyze the current criminal level of in cyberspace; 4) to identify problematic issues in the criminal qualification of cybercrime in online games 5) to interpretу online games fraud in penal and legal terms 6) to consider other types of cybercrime in online games, such as cyberterrorism and cyberbullying; 7) to identify problems in current Russian cybercrime legislation and find ways of solving them. The paper is divided into three main parts, besides Introduction, Conclusion, and List of References. The findings of the study based on goals and objectives of the research.
