The purpose of this work is to strengthen the recommendations for improving the legal regulation of the fuel and energy complex. The study analyzes the system of regulations governing the fuel and energy complex and innovations in the legal regulation of the fuel and energy complex. Also in the course of the study, the problems of legal regulation of the fuel and energy sector were identified. The first block of problems is related to the fact that legal regulations do not take into account the specifics of the legal regime of energy resources and the legal nature of tax crimes in the fuel and energy sector. The next problem is that today there is an urgent need to stimulate national investment in this industry, but the state ignores this need. The final problems studied in the thesis are devoted to the low efficiency of the implementation of federal environmental legislation and the minimum level of use of digital technologies in the fuel and energy sector. As a result of the study, various approaches to solving the above problems were considered, and the need to change the current legislation in the field of the fuel and energy complex was identified. It seems that this study will complement the existing comprehensive studies in this area. The expected result of the project is the solution of the identified problems and the proposal of specific ways to solve them.
