The Dynamics of the Linguistic Situation in Catalonia in the Recent History: the Experience of Qualitative Research

This work is a qualitative study of the modern linguistic situation in the autonomous community of Catalonia (Spain). Based on an analysis of the language policy in the region over different historical periods, it contains 30 semi-structured interviews with informants that allow us to describe the dynamics of the language situation in the region and to draw conclusions concerning the linguistic behavior of individuals living on its territory.
