Media Coverage of COVID-2019: Cross-Cultural Analysis

Social media is considered to be one of the most influential tools for disseminating information. Since 2020, news of the coronavirus pandemic has been popping up more frequently than any other topic on websites, online newspapers, and social media. Some studies have examined the effects of misinformation and misinformation about COVID-19, the spread of the virus, and the impact of the pandemic on people and their lives. Thus, this study aims to collect data and cross-cultural analysis to identify general trends in global media. The relevance of this work is due to a large amount of information in the media and social networks on the topic of coronavirus. The main findings of the study are cross-cultural analysis of coverage of the pandemic in international and Russian sources, as well as recommendations for reducing inaccurate information about the pandemic on social networks. The recommendations can be used in the development of bills to combat inaccurate information in the media.
