The Impact of Social Capital on Performance of Small Business

This study aims to examine the impact of social capital on the performance of SMEs, with innovation as a mediating variable. The study relies on the data collected from the International Laboratory of Intangible driven Economy with 120 observations. Testing the hypothesis, which is the main model of our work, shows that both internal and external social capital impact performance. Innovation mediates the “social capital - performance” link, meanwhile internal social capital has the highest impact on innovations.
