Improvement of Organizational Performance of Innovative Drugs Approval in Russia and Eurasian Economic Union

Student: Chaplenko Aleksandr

Supervisor: Vasily Vlassov

Faculty: Faculty of Social Sciences

Educational Programme: Health Care Administration and Economics (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2021

One of the key conditions for the development of the healthcare system is the introduction of innovative drugs with the most favorable benefit-risk ratio into clinical practice. For today, the drug registration system in Russia and the EAEU does not provide measures to support the developers of original drugs, and registration of innovative medicines occurs several years after approval in the United States and the European Union. A comprehensive analysis of the main directions of development, as well as a comparison of Russian and foreign approaches can become the basis for improving the regulatory system in order to increase the availability of modern high-quality, effective and safe drugs for the healthcare systems of Russia and the EAEU.
