Risk Management of Waste-to-Energy Projects

Although there is a large amount of researches devoted to project risk management, only few of them devoted to project risk management in the field of waste-to-energy projects. This master's thesis is devoted to the development of methodological recommendations for risk management in WTE projects through the identified risk categories of power generation projects from solid municipal waste in the world and the Russian context. As a result of the study, a number of tasks were solved: the methodological essence of risk management of projects and in the field of energy generation from waste, in particular, was investigated; the key categories of risks associated with projects for the generation of energy from municipal solid waste were identified; the features of risk management in the implementation of WTE projects in Russia were identified; recommendations for risk management of WTE projects were developed by taking into account the national context; the risk management structure was determined and the risk management strategies were formalized.
