Assessment and Choosing of a BI-system

Recently, modern technology is being integrated into all spheres of life, simplifying both daily and professional activities. This has also improved the way businesses operate. In the 20th century for the documentation and case management, even large companies used ledgers, now, of course, all data is contained in the computers. However, it's not just accounting records and the number of goods in stock that are available to electronic computers, but also much more complex business metrics. Solutions such as CRM, ERP systems and BI systems provide the opportunity to improve business performance. The aim of the paper is to create a research paper that is able to help the reader understand if they need a BI system and choose the highest quality one. Goals: Consideration of the theoretical aspects of BI-systems Analysis of the most popular players in the market and identification of their Сharacteristics - Review of the business intelligence market - Examination of cases of BI-systems implementation - Analysis of the choice of BI-systems Object of study - BI-systems Subject of the work - analysis, followed by an assessment and selection of BI-system with the greatest benefit for the business. The hypothesis is that the most technologically advanced solution on the market, as well as the most supported after the introduction will be the best one. The relevance of this work is that with the trend of growth of BI-systems in Russia, this topic is gaining significantly more traction with various companies, from small to medium businesses. Large companies have been using BI-systems for a considerable time, but this also means that the system has been implemented long ago, and therefore at the moment, this system may not be the best choice. Qualitative market analysis of BI-systems and evaluation of competitors are in high demand in various companies, from start-ups to mid-sized businesses. Therefore, the market analysis of BI-systems, a comparison of possible options and this work in general will be in demand because of its significance and uniqueness. Practical value of this project is that it will be a guide for various business owners and their employees in analyzing and choosing BI-system and determining the necessity of its implementation. In addition, this work can be useful in assessing how different solutions change over time and how important certain features in the system are. Research Methodology. During the course of the work key aspects and features of both BI-systems architecture and implementation methods were considered. The analysis of the market of BI-solutions was done and comparison of the most popular programs was made. Results of the work. A detailed study of BI systems as a class, and theoretical analysis of specific programs from different manufacturers with their subsequent evaluation.
