Simulator of CPU Core Branch Predictor

This paper presents the result of a proposed study that analyzes the existing algorithms for predicting branches for transitions of different types and identifies the most accurate algorithms in their predictions. The work is based on the documentation of modern processors and modern scientific research. Also, within the framework of this work, software has been developed that allows emulating the principles of the prediction block of the processor core with the possibility of choosing a prediction algorithm. This software represents the work of the main algorithms used in modern processors for various versions of the executable code. The volume of the report on the final qualifying work, not including applications, is – 65 pages, number of tables in the work – 1, illustrations – 25, the sources used – 43.
