Young Kashtan lives in a cabin in the forest, adores his father and knows nothing about himself — neither his own real name, nor where exactly he lives, nor why he ended up there. He loves to listen to his father’s fairy tales, loves when his father brings something new from his travels, and hates to think that one day he will have to go out into the big world. But life takes its toll, and now it is Kashtan who is on the way. He does not know how to lie, still does not remember his own past and does not know what the game is outside and how to win it. Is it worth playing at all and what kings and queens he has already beaten without noticing?
