A Comparative Study of NGOs in the Field of Cultural Heritage: Sakha and Tyva Republics

The goal of this research is to contribute to the literature on the third sector and ethnic-cultural advocacy in Russia. An attempt to answer 2 questions is made: how the institutional architecture is organized in Sakha and Tyva on the local level with regard to nongovernmental organizations operating as actors in the cultural and ethnic landscape. What lessons can be learned from the experiences of the two republics?
