The article examines the historical policy of Belarus: its main narratives and the actors that form it. In historiography, not so much attention is paid to the case of Belarus in comparison with the historical politics of neighboring countries. Through the analysis of school textbooks of various reprints, periodicals and mass media, for example, the newspapers "Nasha Niva" and the news portal "Belarusian Partisan", it is concluded that the historical policy of Belarus is not so unambiguous. The article highlights the attempts to combine the Soviet tradition and national interests through the historyof Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the USSR, the holding of various commemorative events, the influence of various public organizations and associations. However, different versions of the past, promoted by different actors, also lead to the emergence of difficult topics for the dialogue between society and the state.
