Student: Alimova Anastasiia

Supervisor: Julia Trabskaya

Faculty: St.Petersburg School of Economics and Management

Educational Programme: Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The aim of this work was to explore students' opinions about studying in master's programs in the field of arts and culture management in order to find out what factors influenced the choice of a master's degree, whether students are satisfied with the education and skills that they received while studying in the program. For this, a survey was developed which was distributed among students of the respective programs. The survey results showed that student satisfaction with the studying in the program is 3.33 out of 5; satisfaction with the skills received - 3, 38 out of 5. The t-test results showed that the level of satisfaction with the program is statistically at the same level as the level of satisfaction with the skills. In addition, a list of factors influencing the choice of a master's degree was created, as well as a list of skills that students wanted to acquire by starting their studies in the programs. Thus, some of the most mentioned skills were management skills, skills of organizing events, PR, in the field of data analytics. Since there has been little research on the opinions of students enrolled in arts and culture management programs, this research will allow program managers to learn more about student opinions and improve programs to raise student satisfaction. In addition, the results of the research can be used as a basis for further research of students' opinions about the program, skills acquired, etc.
