Year of Graduation: 2021

In the conditions of modern business oversaturated with manufactured goods and services it is necessary to focus on competitive advantages where analytical thinking may not be enough. In this case, such creative component as design thinking can help. Although many companies have already used certain tools of this methodology to solve problems in various fields of activity, not all problems can be solved by means of modern approaches of design thinking. Therefore, the aim of the work is to develop an original approach to solving prototyping problems within the framework of the design thinking process based on the simulation modeling and to evaluate this approach in practice. Thus, the main methods of solving prototyping problems and their features were demonstrated and comparative analysis of simulation modeling tools was carried out. As the result of the research and creation of the simulation model, a comprehensive user guide on the application of the simulation modeling for solving prototyping problems within the design thinking process has been developed.
