Analysis and Assessment of the Urban Environment’s Quality (the Case of St. Petersburg)

The final qualification work "Analysis and assessment of the urban environment’s quality (the case of St. Petersburg)" is devoted to the problem of creating a comfortable urban environment in the city districts. The aim of the work is to analyze the new and old districts of St. Petersburg and its suburbs, as well as develop recommendations for improving the urban environment and managing the infrastructure of the districts. The study analyzed the Rybatskoye, Ulyanka, Severnaya Dolina, Zapadnoye Murino microdistricts, conducted an in-depth interview and a survey of the population on satisfaction with the urban environment. As a result of the study, it was revealed that today in the old districts of the city and in the new ones the urban environment is not comfortable enough for the population, in all districts there are many problems that cause dissatisfaction with the quality of the urban environment among citizens. Moreover, recommendations were developed for improving urban space. Key words: quality of the urban environment, comfortable environment, improvement, infrastructure of St. Petersburg.
