Improvement of the Delivery Processes of the Robert Bosch LLC Using Information Technologies

To date, for modern companies regardless of the niche consider logistics is vital aspect to be considered. Sufficient logistics processes affect profitability and competitive advantages for business. Delivery process as part of distribution logistics processes influence the relationship with customers and service level that company provides. High service level becomes one of the most important efficiency indicator and one of the main competitive advantages while maintaining superior quality of the product. Thus, this paper provides an overview of the delivery processes and methods for its improving and enhancing its efficiency and viability. The optimization processes may be performed using variety of approaches, and in this paper informational technology as method of increasing efficiency are emphasized. The paper presents the analysis of the trading company and its economic and logistics activities and suggests ways to strengthening its delivery processes using information technologies. Operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the proposed project is calculated. To ensure fairness of the gathered information different methods are used, such as analysis of best practices, overview of specialized literature, interviewing the specialists concerning the main features of business processes, comparing as-is and to-be models and others, data analysis and using software solutions to meet the research goal. The expected output of the research is a set of recommended approaches and methods for the trading company to improve delivery processes based on the literature, best-practice research and analysis of the focus company. The results are expected to improve the work of the supply chain and especially rise the significance of delivery process. Moreover, the results of the study may be used by other companies as a part of the research.
