This work concerns the development of software tools for event logs processing based on ontologies. The rationale is given for the need to develop event logs for information collected from social networks.A general analysis of the concepts of creating, storing and presenting information used in social networks is also performed. In the course of the analysis, a model was created for representing the functional elements of social networks using events. The APIs of the most popular social networks were analyzed for the possibility of collecting data that can be presented in the form of events. On the basis of the model, an ontology of events for social networks was laid, the format of the ontology presentation was chosen. An ontology-based event log processing algorithm was designed using UML diagrams. To develop the algorithm, Python tools, Pycharm IDE, Owlready2 libraries, RDFLib were used. An algorithm was developed that allows for populating the ontology with event logs and receiving event logs through queries to the ontology using user-specified parameters. The work consists of 42 pages, includes 18 figures, 11 tables, 2 appendices.
