The master's thesis by O.Lvova is devoted to the study of the aggression role in the individual development. The purpose of this work was to study the constructive side of aggression, which serves the development of a person and without which a successful and happy life in society is impossible. In the first chapter of the work, we consider the concept of aggression, its origin, types of aggression and its functions, as well as the analysis of various psychoanalytic theories of aggression. In the second chapter of the work, we focus in detail on the study of aggression as a driver of individual development. We consider psychoanalytic methods of working with aggressive feelings of clients: from their identification and recognition to the integration of aggression, as well as the occupation of a depressive position. We also put forward two hypotheses, which are tested on the basis of the client case. In the third chapter of the paper, we give an example of the client's use of aggression as a driver of personal development, and also show the work of the mechanism of projective identification. As a result of the work, the following conclusions were made: - Aggression is a necessary condition for individual development. - The mechanism of projective identification should be taken into account when working with aggression. The results of this work can be used by psychoanalytic coaches in personal practice for individual and group work with the clients.
