This paper examines the phenomenon of parental stress in adoptive and blood parents, the features of emotional interactions in families with adoptive and blood parents, as well as the relationship between parental stress and characteristics of emotional interaction in families with adoptive parents and blood parents. Analysis of foreign and domestic studies has shown that parental stress is influenced by both interpersonal and intrapersonal characteristics of the parent, including parental stress is interconnected with emotional interaction in the family. The study showed that there are differences in the level of parental stress in adoptive and natural mothers, and also that there are certain characteristics of family interactions in foster and blood families that differ from each other. Parental stress is correlated with these family characteristics, however, these relationships are not different between blood and foster parents.
