The research is aimed at disclosing the topic of the influence of corporate risk management on the survival of firms. The author is faced with the research question "Does the presence of risk management in the corporate governance structure of a company affect its survival?" The purpose of this study is to provide new knowledge in the field of the practice of introducing risk management into the management processes of Russian companies, since there are no results of work on this topic. And also checking the relevance of using the RME indicator derived by Andersen, T.J. & Schrøder, P. W., to assess the effectiveness of a company's risk management. The data will be used for the IPO between 2010 and 2020. The database will be the Spark-Interfact portal containing financial and accounting reports. The author chose Cox regression as a way of assessing survival. We considered five variables describing the internal state of the company, namely, ROA, current liquidity indicator, etc. The conclusions and reasoning drawn from the results of the work will make it possible to understand that the PME indicator did not pass the test for significance and was replaced by another. The final results show that measured risk management has a positive effect on survival, that is, increasing the life span of the company. This work consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusions to them, a conclusion, a list of references and applications.
