Open Public Space Inclusivity for Adolescent: Case of Golovinsky, Levoberezhny and Khovrino Districts in Moscow

The main aim of the work is analysis and identification of the criteria for the inclusivity of open public space for adolescents. Among the main tasks: theoretical foundations of the concept of public space and adolescent specifics; analysis of open public spaces in three Moscow districts: Golovinsky, Levoberezhny and Khovrino, as well as highlighting the daily practices of adolescents carried out in such spaces. Fifteen go-along interviews created the basis for the identification of the leading features that influence the possibility of adolescent inclusion. Among them: the regional scale of the space, a wide range of possible activities, "owning" space, withdrawal from control, isolation and, simultaneously, the possibility of socialization with peers and other users.
