Improvement of Transport Support for the Logistics Activities of the Retail Company

The paper focuses on improving the company's transport management process, which should significantly reduce the time and financial costs of processes related to transportation, as well as contribute to improving the speed and quality of order execution. The object of the study is the transport activities of trading company N, and the subject of the study is the implementation process of the information system. The purpose of the work is to develop project activities to improve logistics activities in the focal company. The objectives of the project are: - research and analysis of Company N activities, identification of peculiarities of the logistics system and transport management in the trading company; - analyse market technology and existing transportation management systems, consider the functionality of some systems; - identify on the basis of the analysis requirements for a new transport management system; - drafting of terms of reference based on the identified requirements and selection of a suitable system; - Determination of project activities for implementation, economic justification and scheduling of project activities.
