Nowadays Feminist Studies is an increasingly important area of interest due to the current struggle for women rights and for the equality. Numerous studies such as those carried by Tolan (2007), Bouson (2016) have attempted to demonstrate the women’s depiction and the feminist ideas representation in Margaret Atwood’s works. However existing research into feminist aspects of Atwood’s novels has failed to consider the main feminist motifs, that are persistent or often encountered in the author’s oeuvre. This study aims to identify the most common feminist motifs of Margaret Atwood’s oeuvre using the novels “The Penelopiad” (2005), “The Handmaid’s Tale” (1985) and “The Blind Assassin” (2000) as examples. The present study is aimed to find some recurring feminist motifs in the selected Atwood’s novels (such as the motif of women’s guilt, the motif of silence). This identification of the main feminist motifs is aimed to show how the feminist philosophy representation varies in the author's oeuvre depending on the publication date of the novel.
