There had always been a research interest in Zoshchenko, but a full-fledged study of his works began only in the 70s of the twentieth century, when the period of ideological transformation of social values started in Russia. Topic’s formulation of this thesis is “Poetics of dilogy: Mikhail Zoshchenko “Returned Youth," "Before Sunrise" ". As a part of this topic the main stages of the writer's life were examined, and his ethical, aesthetic, and philosophical ideals were revealed. The relevance of this thesis is due to the insufficient study of the author's stories of the 30s-40s, since this period was a turning point in his work. Considering the work from this perspective, the experience of Zoshchenko as a creative individual who has passed the path of self-determination is intriguing not only in literary, but also in social significance. The main objective of the research is to identify resemblances and distinctions between the themes of youth in these stories. Based on this task, the thesis consistently considers a number of issues, such as the ratio of the internal and external world of the author and his characters and the language as a method of “soul research”. The practical significance of this thesis lies in the fact that Zoshchenko's work is studied in a psychological and philosophical concept.
