Year of Graduation: 2021

The final period of life and work of Jack London, which began in 1909 and lasted until the death of the writer in 1916, is still one of the most controversial periods in his creative biography. Nevertheless, in their ideological and thematic diversity, the last years of the author's life are in no way inferior to the times of his literary debut. The novels "Burning Daylight", "The Valley of the Moon" and "The Little Lady of the Big House", traditionally united by researchers in the "Californian novels", occupy a special place in the author's work, since in them he develops the theme of returning to earth. This work is devoted to the analysis of female images in these novels, their ideological and structural significance for the author`s later works.
