Modern problems of higher education in the Penza region This project presents analytics of the region (comparative analysis with other regions of the Russian Federation), assesses economic attractiveness for applicants, prospects for the development of higher education in the region, provides recommendations for development. The customer of the case study is the management of the university, which has set a number of tasks in the development program: attracting applicants, developing the talents of students, increasing the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. 2. Everyone - into the Woods! Is there a Future for the University's Recreational Facilities? (Case of Penza State University). The case is devoted to the classical business problem - management of non-core assets, which in many universities due to a number of organizational, economic and legal reasons is given insufficient attention. The customer of the case is the management of the university, which set the task of searching for possible options for effective involvement in the economic turnover of the recreation center "Polytechnic". The case contains the necessary information about the university, the owner of the asset, economic data on the object itself. The case also contains background information on precedents of various real estate transactions of state institutions. This section allows finding a solution to the case without additional special legal knowledge. 3. Regional Labor Market and the Formation of a Competitive Environment in the Higher Education System (Using the Example of the Penza Region) (article). The work is devoted to studying the influence of the regional labor market on the formation of a competitive environment in the higher education system. This study attempts to identify possible negative influencing factors. The work formulates a number of proposals to overcome the negative impact, as well as measures to increase the level of competition in the higher education system of the region.
