Multimedia Coverage of Breaking News on the Example of the Palestine-Israel Conflict

This work looks at the role that multimedia plays in reporting emergency events, particularly armed conflicts, and the current issue of the Palestine-Israel conflict. Chapter one traces the history of media and the methods used for armed conflicts and gives the media platforms used in covering military actions and this section focuses on how media practices change throughout the process. The second chapter looks at the Palestine-Israel conflict, analyses different formats of multimedia, their influences, and scrutinizes how the information presented by multimedia influences public opinion and narratives. A number of instances and case studies are presented, illustrating the role of the media in shaping perception. The conclusion sums up the chapters and identifies the intense effect that multimedia has on people's understanding and the general tone of conflict.
