The aim of this thesis is to explore the psychological mechanisms that influence migrants' coping strategies, as well as to examine the role and impact of the organizational context in this process. Based on psychoanalytic concepts, the study investigates how internal psychological processes and external factors affect migrants' adaptation. The main objectives of the study include: 1. Analysis of the concept of adaptation (coping) strategies. 2. Study of the separation-individuation phase within object relations theory in the context of immigration. 3. Analysis of the concepts of grief and melancholy in the context of immigration. 4. Investigation of the organization's role as a transitional object in the process of separation-individuation. Empirical objectives include: 1.Examination of migrants' choice of adaptation strategies. 2. Analysis of the experience of being in an organization and the role of the team in the context of immigration. 3. Study of the adaptation process from a psychoanalytic perspective. The study results revealed that the adaptation process for migrants is complex and multifaceted, requiring profound psychological work. The choice of coping strategies and the success of adaptation depend on both the internal mechanisms of the individual and the organizational environment. Constructive coping strategies, such as seeking support and professional development, contribute to successful adaptation, while avoidant strategies, such as isolation and idealization of the past, can complicate it. The research confirms that migration induces intense feelings of loss associated with the place of residence, social relationships, and career. The success of dealing with grief depends on the migrants' ability to overcome the idealization of the past and accept the reality of their new life, maintaining a sense of self-integrity. Organizations provide migrants with opportunities for re-identification and the formation of a new professional role, influencing the success of adaptation through their culture and policies. Thus, the thesis emphasizes the need to support migrants both at the personal and organizational levels to successfully navigate the adaptation process and overcome the identity crisis associated with relocation
