Course Syllabus

Abstract

Virtual and immersive elements are step by step becoming a storytelling tool in moderm multimedia. The fundamental idea of immersive journalism is to allow the participant, typically represented as a digital avatar, to actually enter a virtually recreated scenario representing the news story. The course surveys current approaches to immersive journalism and the theoretical background

Learning Objectives

  • The goal of the discipline is to give students an idea about virtual, augmented and mixed reality
  • The participants will be able to grasp all the storytelling and technical features of the course. Special attention will be paid to the use of panoramic video content
