HSE University Master’s Programmes to Follow New Educational Standard
The University Academic Council has approved a new educational standard for HSE Master’s programmes, the main feature of which is an higher degree of student freedom and flexibility se in student choice. Master’s programmes may consist of several tracks, each overseen by an academic track supervisor—a new key figure in the educational process.

Moscow to Paris: Here, There, and Everywhere
In early July, the fifth summer school organized by French association D’Est together with the HSE Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism, with the support of the French Embassy in Russia and the Paris Mayor’s Office, was held in Paris. For 11 days, students of the HSE Master’s programme in Urban Development and Spatial Planning and members of Moscow’s Municipal Council learned about French urban development, local administration and the country’s participatory democracy.

This July, St. Petersburg and Moscow hosted Geek Picnic, the popular science festival for lovers of science and cutting-edge technology. This year HSE University became an official partner of the event. Festival guests got to see the recent projects of HSE professors, students, and graduates as well as attend lectures by leading HSE experts.
