Tutte polynomial for matroid and combinatorics of polytopes
We formulate and prove a formula for the Tutte polynomial of a matroid in terms of geometry of the associated polytope, and also explain a K-theoretic treatment of this formula.
The talk is based on a paper of Fink and Speyer on the subject and also on recent talks of A. Zaitsev and N. Kodaneva at the second seminar.
