The title of HSE Honorary Professor was awarded to Alexei Kudrin by the HSE Academic Council on June 26th, 2009.

Alexey Kudrin is former Finance Minister of the Russian Federation (2000 — 2011) and Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation (2000 — 2004, 2007 — 2011).

The title was granted for a considerable contribution in the development of the HSE and outstanding achievements in the development of conceptual approaches and practical realization of Russian reforms of public finances.
