The HSE Student Council has announced its decision to postpone the vote for the Code of Conduct until September. The next Academic Council will only consider the Code of Conduct for HSE University Academic Staff.
During the summer, the Student Council is going to ‘further develop the project, coordinating the final amendments to the text and determining how the code will be used. It will also give the student community another opportunity to take a closer look at the project,' according to the statement.
The Code of Conduct working group completed its work in the beginning of June, and suggested that the local student councils vote on the proposed document. The local discussants expressed their concern that it’s hard to efficiently discuss the Code during the time of the exams
Delegates from the Faculty of Social Sciences moved to postpone making the final decision on the Code. The Student Council supported this decision by a majority vote.
