New Rules for HSE Corporate Mailing Lists

How to tell colleagues about your upcoming event

© Daniil Prokofyev/ HSE University

In October 2020, then-rector of HSE University Yaroslav Kuzminov ordered the development of a new policy for informing HSE staff about University events. After analyzing the situation and the number of emails received by employees on a regular basis, we decided to do away with the ‘Invites to Cultural and Entertainment Events’ and ‘Invites to Scientific and Educational Events’ mailing lists. See below for more information about convenient alternatives.

HSE University Event Digest

The HSE Digital Office has developed a new tool that allows users to subscribe to announcements and updates on topics of interest and choose whether to receive news daily or weekly. The digest compiles all relevant events from the HSE website news feed.

If you have an event you would like to appear in the digest, please post it to your department’s page and send a link to portalnews@hse.ru. For more information, please see this page.

You can also add a subscription option to your department’s webpage to keep regular visitors informed of upcoming events. See here for instructions.

‘Morning HSE’ Weekly Updates

By 11:00 am every Monday, employees of the HSE University campus in Moscow receive an email update featuring the previous week’s key news, links to interesting materials, and announcements of upcoming events.

If you have an event for students of various departments of HSE University, you can send your announcement to the Internal Communications Unit for inclusion in the mailing list. We can also announce certain events via the @hse_workers telegram channel. Announcements are posted at the discretion of the editors.

You can manage your mailing list subscription settings in the ‘My Subscriptions’ section of your MyHSE Services Account.

On September 20, 2021, the groups ‘Invites to Cultural and Entertainment Events’ and ‘Invites to Scientific and Educational Events’ will be removed from Outlook. HSE employees will no longer be able to use them to announce events.
