Tuition Payment Deadlines

Tuition payments for an academic year at HSE University are made in two transfers:

● first payment – by August 25;

● second payment – by February 20.

Payment deadlines may vary depending on the terms of the educational services agreement signed by the student upon admission. For students enrolled in programmes without state-funded places, information on payment deadlines is available on the respective programme websites.

Tuition fees for each academic year, as well as payment guides, are published on the Financial Office page (only available in Russian).

Tuition Payment Instalments and Deferrals

Instalments: For the 2025–2026 academic year, instalment payment plans are not provided.

Deferrals: In exceptional cases, a deferral may be granted (usually while arranging a loan). To request a deferral, students must apply to their programme office 1–2 weeks before the payment deadline, stating the reason for the request. The decision will be made by the faculty dean.

How to Pay

• Tuition and dormitory fees can be transferred via HSE Payments: https://pay.hse.ru/. No bank commission is charged when paying through this service.
• Payments are recommended through Sberbank branches in Moscow, where no bank commission applies. Payments can also be made via Sberbank payment terminals across the city.

• For payments via bank branches, students can print the payment notification forms for tuition and dormitory fees and review instructions on how to complete them via the provided link.

• Pre-filled payment forms for dormitory accommodation are also available in the dormitories when paying through Sberbank branches or terminals.

⚠️ To avoid receiving a dismissal notice, make sure to comply with the deadlines specified in your agreement.
