Tuition Payment Deadlines

Tuition payments at HSE University are usually made in two installments during the academic year:

• initial payment - by August 25;
• second payment - by February 20.

The deadlines for payment may vary depending on the terms of the educational services agreement signed by a student in the year of his/her admission. Students studying under programmes without state-funded places can find information about tuition deadlines on respective programme homepages.

Payment Installments for Students Admitted prior to the 2022/2023 Academic Year (inclusive)

Tuition payments for educational services in the 2023/2024 academic year can be made on a monthly basis:

• from August 2023 until May 2024:
• in 10 equal installments equal to 1/10 of the tuition fees for educational services for the 2023/2024 academic year;
• no later than the 25^th of each month preceding the next payment period.

Payment Installments for Students Admitted in the 2023/2024 Academic Year

Students admitted in the current year may be provided the right for paying tuition in installments from January 2024 until the end of the 2023/2024 academic year.

Tuition payments for educational services for the second half of the 2023/2024 academic years may be made on a monthly basis:

• from January until May 2024;
• in five installments equal to 1/5 of the tuition cost for educational services in the second half of the 2023/2024 academic year;
• no later than the 25^th of each month preceding the next payment period.

If You Opt for Payment Installments

Upon deciding to exercise one’s right to make tuition installments, a student/client must inform HSE University by sending an e-mail to the manager of their degree programme. A scan/photograph of his/her application, as per the format in the attachment to the offer for the signing of an addendum to his/her agreement, should be submitted no later than August 20, 2023.

An original of the application should be submitted to the study office of your degree programme by November 1, 2023.

Important: The student is obliged to confirm the payment of educational services within 3 calendar days from the date of payment by providing a copy of the payment document to the programme office of his educational programme.

Useful Advice

• Payments for tuition and residency in a dormitory can be made at a branch of Sberbank in Moscow. Sberbank does not charge commission. Payments may only be made at a Sberbank payment terminal in Moscow.
• To make a payment at a branch of Sberbank, print out a blank copy of a tuition and dormitory payment form, as well as read the instructions on filling them out; this information can be found herе;
• Payment for tuition and dormitory residency can be made using the University’s unified payment system at: https://pay.hse.ru/. Bank commissions are not charged for use of this service.
• Notifications for residency payments may be collected at dormitories upon payment at Sberbank or its payment terminals.

Important

If you do not wish to receive a dismissal notification, please do not violate the terms of your agreement: pay your tuition on time!
